Julia Brooks, Osteopath Haywards Heath
Julia Brooks M.Sc D.O. (Hons)
Julia Brooks joined the practice in 1983 after qualifying from the British School of Osteopathy with honours. This was followed by a Masters degree (MSc Osteopathic medicine) and the dissertation was presented at the International Conference for Advances in Osteopathic Research.
She has a wide breadth of experience in osteopathy. This ranges from tiny babies who may have been affected by the process of birth, to the degenerative effects of ageing on the skeleton in the elderly. Having played squash and badminton at county level, she appreciates the stresses and strains that sport can place on the body.
Julia continues to have a keen interest in advancing knowledge in this area and is a member of NCOR (National Council for Osteopathic Research). She has published numerous papers and books and lectures at a postgraduate level, both nationally and internationally.
Her most recent publication is 'Osteopathy and the Treatment of Horses' and further details may be obtained by following this link.
She has been an external examiner for the University of Wales and has been involved in the development of a number of Masters programmes and postgraduate diplomas.
She is registered with all the major insurance companies including BUPA, PPP, WPA and HSA.
