Maria Porter qualified with distinction from the British School of Osteopathy (BSO) in London in 2004. During the last year of her course she also gained a Diploma in Classical Osteopathy from the John Wernham College of Classical Osteopathy. She has since completed the post-graduate course 'Osteopathy in the Cranial Field' at the BSO.

Her osteopathic approach combines the rhythmicity of classical osteopathic techniques with soft tissue massage, articulation and manipulation of joints, as well as more gentle functional release and cranial based techniques.

Maria is particularly keen to help patients self-manage their condition. She is able to offer tailor-made exercise programs and teach core stability exercises to patients on a one-to-one basis.

Outside osteopathy, Maria enjoys keeping fit and participates in squash and Ashtanga Yoga. She is also a keen singer!

This large osteopath practice has served the communities in Haywards Heath, Burgess Hill, Lindfield, Newick, Cuckfield, Hassocks, Keymer, Ditchling, Hurstpierpoint, Wivelsfield Green, Plumpton and surrounding villages in Mid Sussex for more than 30 years.
